🎐 XC Scribbles 143 - ✨ Maybe I Only Needed an Explanation

This morning, I woke up with a sudden flash of clarity.

I began to question the “GAME theory” I once proudly believed I had uncovered the one I thought carried some ultimate cosmic truth.

Was it really any different from the myths, fables, and cartoons I heard as a child?

Perhaps it was simply the same structure just rewritten in a form that matched my current level of understanding.

What I thought was “truth” was really just an explanation I constructed within the limits of what I could bear at that time. A way to make the world digestible.

Like a child watching water boil it can be described as molecules, as steam, as transformation, or even as dancing.

None of them are wrong.  But none of them are the whole.

I remembered when I was learning figure skating.  My coach once taught me a complex move.  After I finally mastered it, he told me it wasn’t quite correct that the complete version was something more refined.

Yet without that “incorrect” version, I could never have reached the real one.  He was simply building my confidence, step by step.

And so I began to understand:  the philosophical truths I had once imagined were also temporary scaffolding ways to tear myself open, to break through, to stand steady for a while.

I thought I had reached the third layer of “seeing the mountain as mountain again.”  But after circling around,  I realized I was still in the second.

The mountain I thought I saw before was filtered still an image.

Only now do I see the mountain itself.  No story.  No symbolism.  No character roles.

It’s slightly disappointing. But it’s real.

In that moment, I understood:  GAME. NPC.  They were just narratives I once used to make things easier to endure.

The true third layer is not discovering another theory.

It is living in reality without rhetoric, without decoration.

Not rushing to explain. Not rushing to define.

Simply standing where I am and seeing clearly where I choose to go.
