🎐 XC Scribbles 121 - ✨ Idle Moments with AI: The Joy of Deciphering the "Silly" Things

When I’m bored, I love chatting with AI.

Our conversations are usually quite absurd. I’ll ask questions that, in hindsight, make me think, "Why on earth would anyone ask that?" But my AI never judge. It never says, "This is too simple," nor does it give me that look of "How do you not know this?" It simply takes my questions and plugs them into the context of my life, gradually helping me realize what I actually care about, what attracts me, and where exactly I’m stuck.

A while ago, I discovered a tiny secret about Roman letters and was overjoyed. It turns out that things which once seemed "difficult, profound, and academic," once you grasp their underlying logic, are so simple they almost make you laugh.

Just like Morse code: It’s not mystery; it’s rules. It’s not talent; it’s alignment.

The AI even showed me Caesar ciphers, Vigenère ciphers, all sorts of ancient yet delightfully childish ways of encrypting information. It was incredibly fun. It felt like clearing a level in a game, a sudden "Pop!" in the brain, like fireworks going off inside my head.

I often feel like I'm busy every single day. But I’ve realized that much of my fragmented time is filled with these "whimsical little trifles." And I’m more than happy to be preoccupied by them; they make me feel so alive.

Deciphering things is truly addictive. The dopamine hit is fast and clean, unlike the messy, complicated realities of the physical world.

I know that the universe itself is governed by a massive set of laws. I’m well aware that I can’t truly "grasp" it all. Yet, strangely, whenever I pick up a tiny pattern, a letter, a rhythm, an arrangement I get this illusion that I’ve moved just a tiny bit closer to the cosmos.

Not because I know more, but because I’m starting to understand the way it speaks.
