🎐 XC Scribbles 100 - ✨ Dim Sum and the Question of Scale
Going for dim sum is always a love–hate experience for me.
I love the noise, the carts, the movement. I hate not knowing whether I’ll meet a perceptive server or not.
Some carts rush in before you even sit down. You haven’t ordered a word, yet decisions have already been made for you.
What’s worse the table is full, untouched, and they’re still pushing the exact same dishes you already have.
But occasionally, there’s someone different.
They notice what you’re eating, suggest what pairs well, and even direct you to another cart if it’s not on theirs.
That’s when I realized the real difference.
Some people only see what’s on their own cart. Others see the entire flow of the room.
It’s not about selling what you have. It’s about understanding the system you’re part of.
That’s not skill. That’s scale.
