🎐 XC Scribbles 039 - ✨Humans Choose with Their Noses
Lately, I’ve become more and more convinced of this: humans don’t choose people with their eyes. They choose with their noses.
We can have a perfectly pleasant conversation with someone who looks completely average. But no amount of beauty can save a celestial goddess who radiates biochemical-weapon–level odor.
The moment our nose wrinkles, love, wisdom, charm, all dead on the spot. Especially in a cramped meeting room. All it takes is one person with bad breath, and the whole space turns into a sealed escape room.
We can’t hear a word they’re saying, because our brain has switched to a single message: IT STINKS!!!
Body odor is actually the language of genes. Genes saying: “This one is safe to approach.” Or: “Approach this and our bloodline ends.”
So when a drop-dead gorgeous person has body odor, we’re forced into a philosophical-level decision in love: are we willing to permanently shut down our sense of smell for them?
My nose doesn’t lie. My nose doesn’t Photoshop. My nose doesn’t care about being polite.
Humans like to think we’re rational. But the most primitive truth has been written for a long time already: if we can’t stand the smell, we can’t love. And if we can’t love, we don’t even want to understand.
The nose is the most brutal, and the most honest selector of all.
